Please note: Your brows will appear 40% bolder for the first week until they heal. When you shed this bold layer, they will end up with fine hair-like lines. It may seem spotty for a day or two during this shedding process, and it may appear as if you have lost all pigment. You haven’t! Patchy spots will begin to come back as you heal, and we will address any spots in the Perfecting Session where your skin may not have taken the pigment well.
A special medical-grade healing ointment has been applied to your brows. Do not wash this off until tomorrow, and keep brows DRY. Then, follow all steps below. *
With CLEAN fingertips, gently wash with antibacterial soap and apply provided Aquaphor or Aloe ointment sparingly to treated area twice per day for 10 days. (See calendar) In the case of very oily skin, only apply ointment as needed. (Use Bacitracin tomorrow.) Ointment should be applied before showering, and do not expose treated areas to the full water pressure of a shower, until the area has healed. Sleep on a CLEAN pillowcase tonight!
Do not rub or pick at treated area. If you have any peeling, allow it to flake off on its own. This process is usually around 4-6 days after the procedure and only lasts about 1-2 days. There should be absolutely no scrubbing, facial cleansers (other than the provided antibacterial soap), makeup, or chemicals on the treated area for at least two weeks post-procedure or longer if not completely healed. Use brand new makeup products after healing as old products may contain bacteria.
Do not submerge treated area in a bath, swimming pool, or hot tub for two weeks following your procedure. No swimming in fresh, salt, or chlorinated water and no saunas for two weeks after your procedure. Plan vacations accordingly! It is recommended to wait 72 hours to work out to avoid infection. When working out after 72 hours, gently pat the treated area dry with a CLEAN towel if you get sweaty and wear a sweatband on your head.
To prevent fading, it is recommended to apply a gentle sunscreen with an SPF factor of at least 30 to the treated area any time you will be in the sun or tanning bed. (Wait at least two weeks after your procedure to tan or apply SPF.) Please contact me if you have any questions! 817-703-7378 RoyaltybyRachael@gmail.com
You will not be allowed to donate blood for 1 calendar year following your procedure, per guidelines of the American Red Cross.
Failure to follow post procedure instructions may result in loss of pigment, discoloration, or infection. Remember that the color will appear brighter immediately following the procedure and will soften as you heal over the next few weeks. A touch up procedure will be necessary after initial appointment within 6-12 weeks. Touch-ups cannot be performed before 4 weeks, and a brand new procedure will be required after 12 weeks. The longevity of your permanent makeup will depend on your skin type and how well you take care of your body and skin.
*If you show any signs of infection, ignore these instruction and seek medical attention immediately.
